South Africa: Eight women raped on the set of music video in Krugersdorp

The shooting of a music video in Krugersdorp went terribly wrong when a gang of 20 armed thugs stormed the set and raped eight women. The youngest being aged just 19. Sadly, one victim was violated by TEN different men.

The 20 men wearing Basotho blankets and balaclavas allegedly fired several shots in the air and ordered everyone to lay down before raping the women in nearby bushes.

The incident has, quite understandably, sent shockwaves across the country. The perpetrators are believed to be Zama Zamas (persons working illegally in abandoned mineshafts in order to retrieve metals or minerals), and tensions have been escalating between the group and South African nationals recently. This incident will do nothing to calm the situation.

On Friday and Saturday, police arrested 85 suspects. Two men were fatally shot after allegedly pointing firearms at police, while one received treatment for gunshot wounds.
