The far-right Mi Hazánk (Our Homeland) party will be “fierce and very tough” in opposition “if the government takes steps that harm Hungary”, party leader László Toroczkai public television on Tuesday.
Toroczkai hailed his party’s achievement in winning seven seats, which means Mi Hazánk will be able to form a parliamentary group of a similar size to Jobbik’s — a former radical party which moved to the centre-right— and have seats in parliamentary committees.
Meanwhile, Toroczkai said attempts had been made to silence his party in the election campaign, noting that Facebook took down its page and an attack was made against their website “to prevent us from winning seats in parliament”.
