Victim stabbed to death in street as horrific spate of crime rocks London
Today's victim is the fourth person to die on the city's streets in the last 3 days
A man in his 20s has been stabbed to death in broad daylight this afternoon (Monday, November 28). He was one of two men knifed in the street, with the other being rushed to a major trauma centre.
Police have now launched a murder investigation after the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second man, whose age is not yet known, is still in hospital, with no further update on his condition available yet. No arrests have been made.
Today's tragedy follows a shocking weekend of violence across London. Reece Newcombe, 31, who had recently become a dad, died after a fight on Richmond Bridge in which he is believed to have been stabbed with a piece of broken glass.
And two 16-year-old boys died a mile apart in Greenwich in attacks that are being linked by the Met Police. There have also been two other double stabbings - after a fight in Thornton Heath and an attack in Forest Gate.
A man was also stabbed in the head in Bethnal Green, while another victim was shot in Brixton and a woman was raped on Highbury Fields.
