Some 82 counter-protesters have been arrested during the pro-Palestine march in central London "to prevent a breach of the peace", the police said.

The Metropolitan Police added: "They’re part of a large group of counter-protesters we have been monitoring who have tried to reach the main protest march.

The deputy director of a branch of Catholic charity Caritas in Poland has quit the church, saying that the institution is a “mafia” that has been “sheltering criminals”, including those guilty of child sex abuse.

Sebastian Wiśniewski has worked for Caritas in Białystok, one of Poland’s largest cities, since 2007 and became its deputy director in 2019.

In interviews with media outlets this week, Wiśniewski revealed that, two months ago, he submitted an act of apostasy – the formal process of leaving the Catholic church.

The Dutch have been crowned as the best non-native English speakers in the world for the fifth time in a row, according to Education First’s annual English Proficiency Index.

The ranking, which is published annually, compares 113 countries on their inhabitants’ English proficiency and is the largest English proficiency study in the world.

A new study, meanwhile, shows that Norway’s strict anti-Corona regime may have saved just over 2,000 lives, but at a high cost. Researchers have examined results of the very different approaches taken by health authorities in Norway and Sweden, when Norway all but shut down while Sweden remained much more open.

Norway ended up with among the strictest anti-Corona measures in Europe, lasting from March 2020 and into 2022, while Sweden had the most liberal, according to researcher Per-Henrik Zahl of Norway’s FHI (Folkehelseinstituttet) and his Norwegian and Swedish colleagues. Norway closed all its schools, for example, while Sweden kept its schools open.

The regional branch of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the state of Saxony-Anhalt has been classified as an extremist organization by the state’s domestic intelligence agency, just days after the party achieved first place in a state-wide poll.

The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, claimed to have gathered sufficient evidence to prove several of its members and elected officials are right-wing extremists.

During the last decade, life expectancy in the EU rose at a relatively consistent pace until 2019, when life expectancy at birth was 81.3 years. Since then, 2020 and 2021 have recorded declines in life expectancy.

In 2021, the overall life expectancy at birth in the EU was 80.1 years. The life expectancy for women in the EU stood at 82.9 years, which was 5.7 years longer than that for men, who averaged 77.2 years.

The largest gender gap was recorded in Latvia, where life expectancy at birth for women was 9.8 years higher. The smallest gender gap was observed in the French outermost region of Mayotte, where life expectancy for women was 2.3 years higher than that for men (72.6 vs 70).

The video opens by showing Fatah terrorists with yellow Fatah headbands firing Kalashnikov rifles at an Israeli kibbutz. Screams of “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is greatest”) are played in the background.

A Fatah terrorist then presents captured Israeli military equipment and says:

We have plundered from them … Today we broke into the military post Nahal Oz [sic. It is a civilian kibbutz] and we hit what we hit, we took as plunder what we took,  and we killed soldiers and stepped on their heads.

Los Angeles witnessed a tragic incident on Monday when a 69-year-old Jewish man, Paul Kessler, died from injuries sustained during an altercation at a pro-Palestinian protest on Sunday.

Sources tell that Kessler was attending a pro-Israel rally in California, when an individual participating in the pro-Palestinian protest allegedly struck him in the face with a megaphone. The force of the blow caused him to fall to the ground, resulting in a severe head injury.
